Hydro: We Are Aluminium

In 2017, two of the world’s largest aluminum companies, Sapa and Hydro merged, giving the merged company full control of the entire aluminum value chain.​

After the merger, the united company wanted to explain the rationale of the merger to their stakeholders and customers through a marketing campaign that illustrated what the ‘new’ Hydro could offer.

The solution to this task was the concept “When Experts Unite”, a story of what happens when experts from different fields come together to solve a common challenge. ​

With the concept, we showed why aluminium is the perfect material that can help designers and manufacturers to reduce their carbon footprint – and why Hydro is the perfect partner to help create sustainable solutions.​

The campaign was spearheaded by a collaboration with world-renowned industrial designer Tom Dixon. H+K first helped develop the full concept of the campaign, before leading production and campaign development on the actual campaign, including producing a content site and a documentary video filmed across four countries.
