The Washington Seminar: At the heart of American politics

The Washington Seminar gathers Norwegian politicians, journalists, business leaders, and communications professionals for a week-long course on U.S. politics, media, and political communication, in the world’s most powerful city. More than 600 professionals from all parts of Norwegian society have participated in the program and are now proud members of our distinguished alumni network.

While in D.C., we meet with campaign managers, editors-in-chief, speech writers, scholars, journalists, and American voters, to provide a comprehensive snapshot of the U.S. political landscape. The seminar provides an excellent opportunity to learn from some of the United States’ foremost experts in politics, media, and communications.

Gambit Hill + Knowlton Strategies cooperates closely with the U.S. Embassy in Oslo and the Norwegian Embassy in D.C., and has partnered with the Norwegian Communication Association, the Norwegian Business School, and RetoRingdal to provide an immersive learning experience.

The seminar and its alumni network are platforms where participants can exchange ideas and learn from one another, develop new peer relationships, and build on old ones.

The course attracts a variety of participants, ranging from those well-acquainted with U.S. politics, to those who take a general interest in politics and communications. Either way, the seminar provides an excellent opportunity to keep up to date on current trends and developments.

The seminar suits experienced professionals interested in political communication and fascinated by the politics, history, and culture of the United States.
