May 8, NEW YORK – Jack Martin, global chairman and CEO of Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K), an international public relations agency, was awarded the Outstanding Individual Achievement SABRE Award at the Holmes Report’s 2019 North America SABRE awards ceremony in New York last night.

“I appreciate this award, but the real honor is working with this team. I have been extraordinarily fortunate to have worked with some of the smartest, most talented, hardest-working people in the industry, and it is to them that I dedicate this award,” said Martin.

The Individual Achievement SABRE Award is given by The Holmes Report, a global trade publication. The accolade recognizes public relations experts from around the world who have had a profound impact upon the communications industry.

Martin has more than 40 years of experience in business, politics, and communications and was one of the early pioneers in public affairs. He founded Public Strategies, Inc. (PSI) over 30 years ago in Austin, Texas, which grew into one of the most successful corporate advisory firms in America. The WPP Group acquired PSI in 2006 and merged it with Hill & Knowlton, becoming Hill+Knowlton Strategies, in 2011.

Under his leadership as global chairman and CEO for the last eight years, he has advised corporate leaders around the world on complex issues and transformed H+K’s global presence in a number of key areas, including creative, content, corporate advisory, and data insights + analytics. Martin is best-known for pioneering the concept of the Fifth Seat. By putting trusted advisors in boardrooms with C-suite clients around the world, H+K interprets and capitalizes on public opinion and sentiment, helping companies harness the power of the public in today’s uncertain times.

H+K has offices in more than 40 countries worldwide, delivering award-winning campaigns to clients across all sectors and disciplines, with a focus on continued innovation for the industry. In the past 12 months, H+K has been recognized by holding company WPP Group as having “performed particularly well” financially, received more than 50 awards globally and countless recognitions from the SABRE Awards, PRWeek, Cannes Lions, MEPRA, ICCO, AMEC, IPRA, Stevie Awards, The Drum, PRCA and many more.
