The combined teams will play key role in Hill+Knowlton Strategies’ ASEAN expansion

May 30 2019, KUALA LUMPUR – Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K), one of the world’s leading public relations and communications firms, and a WPP company, today announced that its Malaysia office will be integrating with local communications agency, LUMOS PR.

The integrated entity will be rebranded Hill+Knowlton LUMOS and led by Justin Then, founder and managing director of LUMOS PR. Previously the Managing Director of H+K Malaysia (2013 to 2017), Then brings considerable leadership experience and market acumen to the new role.

“Bringing our Malaysia office together with LUMOS PR is part of H+K’s growth strategy in the ASEAN region. Significantly, this latest move strengthens our presence and capabilities in Malaysia, allowing us to better service the growing number of multinationals establishing ASEAN hub offices in the country. We are confident in Justin Then’s skills and ability to lead Hill+Knowlton LUMOS. With the combined strengths of the two agencies, our Malaysia-based clients will benefit from deep local insight and the global reach of the H+K network,” commented Lars Erik Grønntun, Global President at H+K

“The rapid growth and immense agility exhibited by LUMOS PR since its inception around two years ago is a testament to Justin’s talent and drive. He understands the H+K way, and I am very pleased to have the opportunity to work with him again,” said HS Chung, H+K Asia cluster lead.

“I am excited and honored to re-join the H+K family. The integration with H+K will enable LUMOS PR to realize its plan of expanding beyond Malaysia sooner than originally anticipated,” said Then.

“I am confident that joining forces with H+K will also accelerate our growth trajectory within Malaysia, bolstering our integrated communications solutions and helping our clients venture into burgeoning markets across the region,” Then continued.
