June 4, BRUSSELS – Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K), international public relations agency, has appointed George Candon as Strategy Director, based in Brussels. Candon specializes in designing, developing and driving communications programs both globally and regionally.

“H+K’s global approach enables me to bring my international experience to clients around the world,” said Candon. “I’m excited to meet the teams around the H+K network and develop campaigns that resonate globally as well as locally.”

With 20 years’ experience in international communications, Candon has broad expertise across corporate, crisis, political, B2B and B2C comms, brand and reputation management, campaigning, and strategic media relations.

Prior to joining H+K, Candon was Managing Director and Head of Crisis Management at FTI Consulting in Brussels, where he was for six years, before which he was head of communications at International Post Corporation. He has appeared several times as a communications and political commentator on Sky News and has considerable experience in coaching c-suite executives in communications strategy and media engagement.

Candon is the founder and chair of the Irish Universities Alumni Association Belgium, chair of the DU Alumni Association Belgium, Vice-Chair of the Communications Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce to the EU (AmChamEU), and a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, the Public Relations and Communications Association, and the International Association of Facilitators (IAF).
