Peter Skovholt Gitmark leads the Public Affairs Department at Gambit Hill+Knowlton. He specializes in strategic counseling in the intersection between business and public relations, to organizations and clients in both the private and public sector.​

Before joining Gambit H+K, Gitmark was Managing Director and Head of Burson Cohn & Wolfe Norway’s Public Affairs Department. ​

Gitmark served as a Member of Parliament for the Conservative Party from 2001-2013, making him the youngest ever candidate to be re-elected from Southern Norway. In his 12 years as a Member of Parliament he served on various committees such as “Local Government and Public Administration”, “Finance and Economic Affairs”, “Energy and the Environment”, and “Foreign Affairs and Defense”.  ​

Gitmark was also a part of the Shadow Cabinet in his last 6 years as an MP. First on environmental issues, and later international development.​

Gitmark has an international mindset and was chairman of the International Young Democrat Union, the world’s largest democratic political youth organization, from 2006-2009. He still has an extensive international political network.​

Gitmark earned his degree in finance at the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration in Bergen (NHH).​
